| We all deserve a fair pay increase |
| Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau announced that Berkeley campus employees who are not covered by union contracts would receive 2% pay increases effective March 1, 2013. Years of non-existent and inadequate pay raises have left university staff without union contracts woefully under market-value.
Sign the petition asking UC president Yudof and all campus chancellors to do the right thing, follow Chancellor Birgeneau’s lead, and give unrepresented staff a fair pay increase. Ask your co-workers to sign, too. If you haven’t yet signed an “authorization card” supporting a union for administrative professional employees, please do so now. A union is as strong as its membership. Become a voluntary member of UPTE (even without a union contract). Dues are $22/month, payable by payroll deduction. Learn about the benefits of membership. |
