University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE)-CWA Local 9119 is the union for professional employees throughout the University of California system. UPTE bargains contracts for more than 12,000 research, technical, and health care professional staff. Administrative professional employees are organizing with UPTE because we want a voice in our working lives at UC.
